I heard something about Barry Bonds breaking the all-time home run record, but I don't really know the details. I'd like to be able to chat about this with my co-workers. Can anybody help me out with a little background?Like, who was the opposing team?

It was some new team from the D.C. area, the Senators, or 'Nads or something I think. They prolly wont be around long I suppose; one of those flash-in-the-pan first season teams...
I bet Bonds feels like a total chump taking all those nose-bleed-inducing, sterilizing steroids just to be able to hit a homer against some slackass pitcher for DC's team. I heard they got that team instead of statehood.
I heard the the other team hit 3 homers in that game. And won. But who knows.
